Itβs almost time for our end-of-semester Mini-Concerts! π This is your chance to showcase your piano skills πΌ you've learned this semester with a small and supportive audience π.
ποΈ MINI-CONCERT DETAILS
Our mini-concerts are hosted at:
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church βͺ
π 2101 S. Prospect Ave. Champaign, IL 61820
π Please arrive at your assigned class day & time, unless youβve arranged to attend an alternate one.
π― HOW SHOULD STUDENTS PREPARE?
Between now and your mini-concert date, simply focus on practicing π΅ the songs weβve learned together this semester.
β This is a casual performance, so thereβs no need to over-prepare.
π Itβs a pressure-free chance to play in front of a small audience!
π WHAT WILL WE DO?
π Weβll begin in our lobby area to greet everyone
πΉ Students will warm up by playing their pieces while guests wait in the lobby
π―ββοΈ Invited friends may join the warm-up portion with students
π Students will play one or two pieces as a solo or a duet with the instructor
π΅ The instructor will perform each student composition from this semester.
πΈ Feel free to take photos and videos throughout the mini-concert.
π We will also take a group photo at the end of the concert to celebrate our acheivements!
π EXPECTATIONS FOR STUDENTS & GUESTS
π Please be respectful of the building and all instruments. We are thankful to be allowed to use the space at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
π This is a casual & relaxed performance β not a formal recital
π Wear whatever you like β no special attire needed!
π· Weβll wrap up with a few group photos after the concert
π§βπ€βπ§ PEOPLE TO BRING
5οΈβ£ Your party should be no more than 5 people in total, which includes your student
ποΈ Each student may bring 1 invited friend
πͺ Siblings or additional adults are welcome, but keep the total group to no more than 5 people.
